Understanding Youth: Lessons Learned at the PHRU in Soweto

The high school students then decided that the educational policies of the Apartheid government weren?t acceptable to them. Violence and destruction ensued and many lives were lost, but it was one of the pivotal points that marked the end of the apartheid era in South Africa.

Healthy HIVE

Anxiety. Depression. Overwhelmed. Alone. Fearful.

These are some of the words that I have felt in the last couple of months while I have been sheltering in place. I imagine that I am not the only one who has experienced these emotions or feelings. A way that I have been able to find relief or accept these feelings has been through mindfulness meditation.
