Do Not Quit ARVs at the Pastor’s Healing Declaration

Please understand, that living spiritual does not render useless the need to have a healthy physical life. You do not need only to hear a man of God declare ‘you are healed of HIV’ and be able to stop taking ARVs, no. Stop taking ARVs only after the medical doctor confirms you are completely “free” [which, with current science, won’t happen. It is recommended that people living with HIV continue taking their ARVs forever to stay healthy].

Any move to stop taking ARVs without the medical practitioners saying so could be very risky and sometimes we are safe to call it “suicidal.” Even the Spirit of God needs a healthy body to operate through. Taking ARVs is by far the only way proven that could help an HIV positive person live a long life.

Vivacious years are assured of HIV positive people taking medical precautions seriously, as ARVs would? boost their immune system, making them allergists to other diseases that would have them dead soon enough, because the said virus weakens the much important immune system.

Also, when taken consistently and properly, ARVs lower the viral load. This can, interestingly, prevent having the sexual partner contract the HIV virus during sex. Condoms can also prevent transmission.

Consistency in taking ARVs weakens the HIV virus and makes it “sleepy,” thereby reducing the chances of transmitting the said virus to the next person. So to say, without consistency of taking ARVs, the HIV virus is ever awake and active, this reproduction and transmission is possible.

Another incredible benefit of taking ARVs seriously by those who are HIV positive, is that it helps their bodies look healthy. ARVs helps maintain shape and form of the HIV patient, irrespective of the potentially deadly disease in them.

This, in a broader perspective, ensures social comfort, because one would not have the need to feel ashamed of mingling and connecting with others in the society, as they look beautiful, handsome or indeed healthy. One would feel life is still normal as long as they have the capacity to connect with others, reducing even the thoughts of committing suicide.

There is no degrading a weapon as being discriminated against because of one’s “unhealthy” looks, but ARVs ensures sustainability of an HIV positive person’s good looks.

To continue living a long and healthy life, therefore, one needs not to hear the man of God say ‘you are healed of HIV!’ and stop taking the ARVs, one needs to take care of their life. “Faith is in stages, thus, no one should joke with their health until confirmed fit by the medical practitioners.”

Moreover, nothing here discourages individuals from trusting the Healing Power of the Lord, but it does not encourage people (HIV positive) to stop taking medical precautions seriously too.

Living spiritual is tantamount to living a healthy physical life. Whether or not the man of God has declared ‘you are healed of HIV/AIDS!’ HIV positive persons (for their benefit) should stop taking ARVs only when if a medical doctor says so.

Healthy HIVE

Anxiety. Depression. Overwhelmed. Alone. Fearful.

These are some of the words that I have felt in the last couple of months while I have been sheltering in place. I imagine that I am not the only one who has experienced these emotions or feelings. A way that I have been able to find relief or accept these feelings has been through mindfulness meditation.
