Liz Johnson, Executive Director of Christie’s Place, chats with Shannon Weber, HIVE’s director, about the program, peer navigation, and the training and capacity building assistance that Christie’s Place offers. She says, “We really try to be a one stop shop for a lot of women and families that we serve, we have food resources, clothing, hygiene products, onsite childcare, counseling, case management, and also we offer a lot of peer services.” Christie’s Place serves about 1200 clients/year, which breaks down to 4-500 families, 3-400 women living with HIV, and some children living with HIV. There are 20-21 staff members and one social work intern. Peer navigation is a major part of how their amazing program works. Slides available below the video.
