The AYAZAZI study is an attempt to get a more holistic understanding of HIV risk among youth. It looks at everything from the social, behavioral, emotional, sexual and even genetic factors that may make it more or less likely that a person contracts HIV.
We need PrEP as sex workers in our country because most of our members are dying just because they have no knowledge about PrEP. Considering the type of work we do, we are vulnerable and many times we find ourselves in a place where we cannot help ourselves. So I want to reach out to any organization that works with sex workers in the area of PrEP to come to our rescue.
Prof. Vernazza says, “We have to balance this [breastfeeding with HIV] very low risk, that seems to be nil, with the risk of not breastfeeding.”
